Dorothy J. dykes Jones, 68, of Cordova, TN, passed away August 3, 2013. Born in Jasper County, MS, she was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church in Memphis. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Elma Dykes and sister, Betty Mauldin. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dr. Frank Jones; daughter, Jennifer Robinson (James) of Bartlett, TN, son, Jon Jones of Arlington, sisters, Janet Blevins and Carolyn Ulmer and brother, Adolph Dykes all of Laurel, MS; grandchildren Andrew, Lorianne and Carrie Robinson, Jon Franklin and Madison Kendall Jones and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at Kirby Woods Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Gideons International at www. gideons.org.
