Lowell D. Shepherd, age 67, of Hueysville, KY., loving husband of 41 years to Melvia D. Shepherd, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Baptist Health, Lexington, KY.
He was born September 14, 1945, in Hueysville, KY., son of the late Ellis and Stella Handshoe Shepherd.
He was a former electrician and a member of the Leburn Old Regular Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Dewayne (Michelle) Shepherd, Lexington, KY., and Kevin D. (Misty) Shepherd, Hueysville, KY., one daughter, Kayla Shepherd, Hueysville, KY., three sisters, Ethel Smith and Evalee Signs, both of Galion, OH., and Bonnie Sexton of SC., two grandchildren, Aiden Shepherd and Logan Shepherd.
Funeral service will conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Ronnie Robinson, Jerry Manns, Gary Compton and Danny Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Shepherd Cemetery, Hueysville, KY.
