Mr. Burke, a native of Frosa, lived most of his life in Limestone County. He was a Baptist and a retired rancher. Mr. Burke died Sunday morning at 11 in General Mexia Hospital.
Conducting the rites will be the Rev. Joe Eakin, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Prairie Hill Cemetery, under direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife of Mexia; two brothers, W. B. Burke of Mertzon and Guy Burke of Temple; and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Brown of Coolidge, Mrs. Werdna Moran of Mart and Mrs. Jeanie Pitts of Dallas.
Pallbearers are Travis Brown, Clifton Burke, Frank John Burke, Jack Burke, James Pollard and Kenneth Pollard.
