Robert Paul Hon, 85, of Chicago, formerly of Crossville, died suddenly at his home in Chicago May 30, 1999.
He was born Feb. 4, 1914 in Crossville, the son of James Paul and Pearl Kinney Hon. Due to the early death of his mother, Mr. Hon was raised in the home of his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. R.P. Kinney.
He graduated from Crosville High School, then served as a sergeant in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. Following his service duties, he lived and worked in Chicago.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Crawford Earl and Martin V. Hon.
He is survived by a nephew in Chicago and several cousins, including Mrs. Clarence Rice of Carmi and Charlene Shields of Crossville.
There will be no visitation, the body will be cremated.
