John Wiley Norton passed away August 1, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born April 23, 1940 in Modesto, California to Wiley Moss and Helen Cazier Norton.

John was a master leather carver having won numerous awards all over the country.

He graduated from Weber High in 1959; served an LDS mission 1960-1962 in Canada as a missionary under President Thomas S. Monson.

He served in the Army following his mission.

He married Mary Ann Barrett June 5, 1963 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He is survived by five children, NovaLea (Randall) Beddes of Highland, Utah; Bartron John (BeckY) Norton of Gainsville, Florida; Wyona (Eric) Langstaff of Draper, Utah; Jennie (Mike) Johnson of Sundance, Wyoming; and Markele (John) Peck of Ogden, Utah. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren plus others who affectionately call him "grandpa and great-grandpa."

He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

The family thanks Hospice for the kincdness and love shown to John and Keller Williams for their generosity and support.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 11 am at the North Ogden 4th Ward Chapel , 1791 N 600 E.

A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah and from 10-10:45 am prior to the Service at the church.
