Services for Edna Ann Howell, 95, of Pollok, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Robbie Bailey and Reverend Bob Smith officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.
Mrs. Howell was born September 22, 1909, in Latexo, Texas, the daughter of the late Maggie Salonie (Jackson) and William Robert Skidmore.
She passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Howell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was also the co-owner of Howell's Shoe and Harness Shop.
She was an accomplished quilt maker, and enjoyed arts and crafts.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Doris Kesinger of Groveton and Tommie Ann Smith of Pollok; son, Billy Kelton Howell of Lufkin; sisters, Luna Jarmillo of Lufkin and Marie Freeman of Alpine; 19 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Thomas Howell, in 1974; and son, John Robert Howell, in 2003.
Mrs. Howell's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home.
