Preceded in death by her husband Ernest and her son John. Survived by her children, Kieth ( Mary McNamee ), Suzanne (Larry) Cain, Paul (Jan), Kathleen (Ken), Connie (Mike) Warren, John's wife Sylvia; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Eileen graduated from South High School in 1941. After graduation she was the first female standard checker at Swift. She met her future husband while serving as a volunteer at Fort Crook . After marriage she was involved in PTA , a member of Wheeler Presbyterian Women's Association, and the owner of Eileen's Cafe in downtown Omaha for more than ten years where she was famous for her fresh baked pies. She retired from her positions as cook and receptionist with the Sisters of Mercy in 2009. She enjoyed traveling and remained active with friends and in community service until her recent illness. Eileen was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and cousin (Iske/Giles)
VISITATION 4-8pm Thursday November 12, 2009 at funeral home with family greeting friends 5-7pm. FUNERAL SERVICE 1pm Friday at Westlawn Hillcrest Chapel, 5701 Center St. Interment Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association .
