Jeff Cole, 69, died Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the North MS Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Cole was a native of Booneville. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, the Lions Club, the Goodfellows, Masons, and the Shrine.
He was a supporter of the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. He was a former owner of Commercial Distributors here. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at McGrath-Rasberry Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Bob Ramsay officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Quinn, John Campbell, Bill Thompson, Carl Long, Phillip Long, Casey McCarley, and H. T. Whisenant. Honorary pallbeaers will be Roy Guyton, Gaines Moore, Marion Threkeld, Jack Markwell, Frank Haley, A. T. Witt, Marie McCarley, Erin Dillard, and W. P. Franks.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Byrdie Thompson Cole; one son, Jeff Cole, Jr., Greenwood; one brother, Milton Cole, Booneville, two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Lester, Booneville and Mrs. Joe Key, Whitehaven, TN and four grandchildren.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Cerebral Palsy Center of Tupelo.
