Porter B. Allen, 80-year-old retired rancher of Wister, Okla., who had been making his home in Kern County for about a month, died last night at a local hospital. He was the father of Mrs. George W. Griffith of Wood Patch; Ed Allen of Watsonville, Emmet Allen of McAllister, and Charles and Marshall Allen [Emmett & Marshall were in Pittsburg Co OK in 1920] and Mrs. Etta Griffith, all of Oklahoma. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Clyde, Addie, Maudie, and Edgar Griffith of Wood Patch, and ?Elsis/Kisie, Vernie and John Allen, Millie King and Mamie Griffith.
The body is at Payne & Sons mortuary where funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of his two sons from Watsonville and McAllister.
