Obituary
In Plymouth; February 17 - Francis Rogers, aged 87, a retired sea captain, died last Saturday morning at his home at 3 Cliff street, just three weeks after the death of his wife, Mrs. Marcia Rogers. He was a native of this town, son of the late Francis and Rebecca (Phinney) Rogers. He leaves a brother Capt. Augustus B. Rogers of Manomet, formerly of the Coast Guard service; two daughters, Mrs. George Shiverick of Kingston and Mrs. George Phinney of Plymouth; two sons, Alfred of Buzzards Bay and Frank of Milton; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the Chiltonville Chapel, with Rev. J. Arthur Edwards officiating.
