Carmela R. Davanzo, 79, of Washington Street, Portland, died Sunday in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph Davanzo. Born in Pittston, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Grafazzi) Ormando. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church, Portland.
Survivors: Sons, Daniel Barr of Mount Bethel and Catel Barr of Portland; daughters, Elizabeth Farino of Pen Argyl, Rosemary Reese of Easton, Jacqueline Zito of Roseto and Bernadette Hoppes of Watsontown, Northumberland County; brothers, John and James, both of Pittston; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
