A longtime resident of Helena and East Helena, Robert "Bob" Stanton passed away peacefully on June 14, 2013, at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born in Chicago in 1925. His family later moved to Casper, Wyo. He enlisted in the Army when World War II started and served in the Army Air Force aboard planes based in England.
Growing up in Wyoming, he developed a passion for hunting and fishing, which stayed with him his whole life. His other passion was gardening, and no matter where he lived he always created lush flower and vegetable gardens.
Bob is survived by his son, daughter, and two grandchildren.
