Thank you to F.A.G. Member Dona (Carr) Mooring #47131228 for the following information:

The flag of the Produce Exchange was at half-mast yesterday in token of grief at the death of two of its members. William H. Fuller died on Saturday last (05 Jan 1878) at the age of 61, from pneumonia. He was born at Cambridgeport, Mass., and was a brother of Margaret Fuller, Countess d’Ossoli, the poetess, who was lost off Fire Island in May, 1850, in the wreck of the ship Elizabeth. Mr. Fuller was formerly a member of the firm of McDonald & Fuller, provision brokers, but during the past four or five years was not actively engaged in business. He occasionally did a little in a speculative way, but devoted his energies principally to the management of the Folsom estate, left by one of his relatives. He was a member of the New York Club, and was in the habit of spending his evenings there. He leaves a family of married children and a wife who is now traveling abroad. His funeral took place at 9 o’clock yesterday morning from St. Mark’s Church.
