Joseph Sexton, 3rd was so identified at marriage since he was the 3rd oldest adult Joseph Sexton then residing at Somers. At his death in 1807 at Somers, he was recorded as the 2nd oldest Joseph Sexton at Somers.
Rachel and Joseph had seven children of record at Somers: William, Abel, Joseph (d.y.), Abigail, Jeremiah, Mary and Martin.
