Oscar married Marjorie Lecretcia Dowding on July 26, 1934.

Pre-induction in World War II on Friday April 6, 1945. Passed physical exam on April 21, 1945 at Jefferson Barracks and was transferred to Randolph Co., MO. according to newspaper articles in the Moberly Monitor.
