AMANDA JENKINS RITES MONDAY AT WINAMAC
WINAMAC - Mrs. Amanda Jenkins, 89, 216 E. Spring St.., died at 9 p.m. Friday.
A life-resident of this community, she expired at the home of a grandson, Robert Jenkins, 521 W. Madison. She had been ill two months.
Born April 12, 1882 in Cook County, Ill., she was the daughter of William and Margaret Marks. Her marriage on Aug. 22, 1906 was to Perry Jenkins, who died Sept. 2, 1947.
She was a member of the Winamac United Methodist Church, Mary Martha Circle and the Wednesday Morning Prayer Group.
Survivors are a son, James, Winamac, three grandchildren; brother, John Marks, Headlee.
Friends may call at Fry and Lange Funeral Home after 10:30 a.m Sunday and at the United Methodist Church one hour before services at 10 a.m. on Monday. The Rev. Harold Oeschle will officiate and burial will be in Winamac Cemetery.
