John Bittles, 63 years of age, of East St. Louis, a patient at the County hospital, died at the county hospital yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Bittles was born in Lamont, Ill., January, 22, 1867, the son of the late Samuel and Lydia Bittles, nee Stephenson. He was never married.
He is survived by three brothers, Joseph Bittles, O'Fallon, George Bittles, Battle Creek, Mich., and Samuel Bittles, whose address is unknown, and by three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Cox, Butte Mont., Mrs. Mary Pool, Battle Creek, Mich., and Miss Nellie Bittles, Chicago.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock from the Schwarz Brothers Chapel in O'Fallon to the Shiloh Cemetery, where interment will take place.
