Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Bennett-May Funeral Home, the Rev. John McGinnis, rector of the Episcopal Church officiating. Burial took place in the Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Aymett, a resident of the Pisgah Community, was the former Miss Elizabeth Duff, daughter of the late Francis and Ada Abernathy Duff.
She was educated in Giles County schools and graduated from Martin College. For many years she taught music in Giles County schools and later did private teaching. She was the oldest member of the Church of the Messiah, Episcopal. Her husband, Dr. J. Leonard Aymett, died in 1932.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Ada Aymett; a son, John M. Aymett; two sisters, Miss McCallum Aymett, and Mrs. Sam May, of the Leatherwood Creek Community, and two grandchildren.
