By original creator, Ann Watts [edited for readability]: Martha Jane was a Native American woman who was the daughter of Uriah Long. She married Thomas Masters [on May 13, 1850] in Madison Co., Kentucky. They were the parents of Nancy Jane, William, Rebecca E, Hugh, Charles Newton, Uriah, Squire Thomas, Turner Newton, and Harrison Masters. Little is known about Thomas and Martha except they left Kentucky and ended up in Lawrence County, Indiana. Their children spread out from Kentucky to Indiana and Ohio. Not sure why the family migrated to Indiana, but they were there for the 1900 census. It's possible that they went back to Kentucky after, but my great Uncle Leroy Perrin said that Thomas and Martha have unmarked graves in Indiana. Leroy would go and visit the graves there.

Ann Watts continued: I talked to funeral directors in the surrounding areas. None of them could find any record because they kept poor records back then.
