BORGER — Floyd Wayne "Buck" Smith, 87, of Borger died Monday, July 29, 2013.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Borger with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Buck was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Webb City, Okla., to William Ray and Lela Alvaita Varvil Smith. Mr. Smith served in the Army during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge and was the owner and operator of OTASCO in Borger.
Buck married Patricia Haley on Feb. 9, 1951, in Borger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Loyd Smith; and two sisters, Eula Mae Smith and Betty Jane Bethel.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Smith; two sons, Jerry Wayne and wife Pamela Ann Smith of Borger and Samuel Floyd and wife Sidney Kaye Smith of Borger; four grandchildren, Marianne Nicole and husband Jay Ferrell of Houston, Kelly Ray Smith of El Paso and Carly Nicole Phillips and Jesse Wohlford, both of Borger.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Woolsey and R.T. Bearden.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
