A. D. Disbrow, 72, of Alcester died on Tuesday of last week, December 26, at the Panska Nursing home in Hawarden. Mr. Disbrow had suffered a broken hip in a fall.
Funeral services were held at Alcester Saturday afternoon with Rev. J. A. Sanaker in charge. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mr. Disbrow was born August 20, 1878, at Hawarden. His father was in the implement business here. Later he moved to Alcester where for a number of years he farmed. Later he engaged in piano tuning. He lived at Aberdeen, S. D. for a time, but two years ago returned to Alcester.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. E. F. Dannenbring and Mrs. R. W. Larson of Alcester, Mrs. Lloyd Anderson and Mrs. H. L. Thompson of Sioux City and Mrs. Chester Bomar of Burbank, Calif.; a son, Clarence Disbrow of Hollydale, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
