Mrs. Laura Anderson Cottrell, 73, died at her home on the Stamping Ground Pike. She had been ill for several years. She was born in Scott County, a daughter of the late William Uriah (Major) and Sarah Johnson Anderson. Mrs. Cottrell was a member of the Caesarea Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Cottrell, a son, Major Cottrell of Scott Co., three sons by a former marriage, Sterling, Orville, and Cyrus Riddle, all of Scott County; a sister, Mrs. W.P. Wigginton, and a brother, John Anderson, of Lexington. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery.
