PORTER of 3152 North Rocheblave St., on Wednesday, June 5, 1957 at 7:25am. Isaiah (IKE) PORTER, beloved husband, father of two, son of the late Ransom Porter and Mrs. Eliza Porter of Heidleberg, MS, brother of Nathaniel Porter and one sister, grandfather of three, father in law of two and brother in law of Mrs. Emily Porter, also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Relatives and friends of the family also pastor, officers and members of Law St., Mt. Moriah and Evergreen Baptist churches, president, officers and members of Law Height Benevolent Association. Dock loaders and unloaders of Freight and Barges, I. L. A. Local 1419, Independent Dramatic Club, employees of Ha(sp)and Vobel Construction company, 7-up bottling company are respectfully invited to attend the wake on Friday night at the Law St Baptist church, 3132 Law st., the Funeral Saturday, June 8, 1957 at 12. Rev. E. B. Scott, officiating.
Interment in Lafayette cemetery no.2 Federal funeral home, Inc in charge.
