Either her birth date is incorrect as 1884 or these parents are incorrect. She is in the 1880 census with these parents stating a birth date of abt 1879.

BUNCH, MRS. MARTHA, 82, died Saturday at her home in Caryville. She was the wife of the late George W Bunch. Mrs Bunch was a member of Beech Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter; Mrs Louise Brock of Caryville, Rt 2; two sons, Columbus Marlowe of Caryville, and James Ward of Clarkville; four sisters, Mrs Mary Wilson and Mrs Sarah Bullman, both of Caryville, Mrs Katie Hawkins and Mrs.Elizabeth Hawkins, both of Lake City; five brothers, the Rev John Tackett of Lake City, Rt 2, Alfred Tackett, Mark Tackett, Judge Tackett, and Boss Tackett, all of Caryville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Vasper Baptist Church with the Rev Richard Smith officiating. Burial was in the New Vasper Cemetery. [Clinton Courier - Sep 22, 1966]
