Mrs. Emily Holden Porter on Sunday, August 24, 1986. Beloved wife of the late Nathaniel Porter Sr. Daughter of the late James and Ada Bell Holden. Mother of two sons (living) and the late Lawrence "Nute" Porter and Ruby Mae. Sister of the late Thelma P. Johnson and also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers and members of Asia, Law Street, Mount Moriah, Evergreen and Pleasant Valley Baptist churches and all neighboring churches. Law Height Benevolent Association, Local 1419 Longshoremens Union are invited to attend the wake and funeral services from Asia Baptist church, 1400 Sere St., on Tuesday, August 26, 1986 at 730pm. Rev. Z. Bridges, officiating. Dismissal services on Wednesday, August 27, 1986 at 930am. Interment in Rest Haven Park. Lockett Federal Funeral Home in charge.
