Henry Alford Nitcher, eldest son of Christopher and Libbie Nitcher, was born February 25, 1895 at Superior, Neb., and departed this life at Belleville, December 25, 1936 at the age of 41 years and 10 months.

August 25, 1915 he was united in marriage to Lena Mae Swaney and to this union were born three children, Leslie, Wilma and Naomi, all of the home.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, son and two daughters, his mother, Mrs. C.M. Nitcher of Plymouth, Ia., three brothers, George Nitcher, Lyle, Minn., Chris Nitcher, jr., Plymouth, Ia., and William Nitcher, Lyle, Minn; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Brady, Kensett, Ia., Mrs. Ella Orman, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Edith Persinger, Republic; other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him as he always had a pleasant word and a cheery smile for all.

Short services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home in Belleville and at 2:30 services were held at the Methodist church in Republic conducted by the Rev. Arthur Weeks. Interment was made in Rose Mound cemetery (sic).
