M'PIKE LOSES DEATH FIGHT; FUNERAL HERE
Many Friends Pay Last Respects to Official.

Aaron McPike, county treasurer, was buried at the Rosehill cemetery Wednesday afternoon. The funeral was held at the McPike home, and many people were there to pay their final respects to Mr. McPike.

Other than Mrs. McPike, Mr. McPike is survived by three brothers, James, of this county; Homer, of Rosedale, and William, of Kokomo.

The funeral was in charge of the Old Fellows and Modern Woodmen. The Rev. W. E. Moore, of the First Christian church, officiated.

Mr. McPike's death came as the result of the amputation of his leg. Some time ago it was necessary to amputate one of his legs. His second leg was amputated last week at the St. Vincent's hospital in Indianapolis, as a result of an infection. He was in a weakened state before the operation, but it was necessary for the ordeal in an attempt to save his life. Pneumonia was the direct cause for his death.
