Lake Charles- Charlotte Ann Yandell, passed away July 24, 2013.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8
Charlotte was a native of Moss Bluff and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She retired as a Calcasieu Parish School Teacher where she taught 4th grade at Henry Heights. She was a graduate of McNeese State University where she received a Bachelor in Psychology and also a teaching degree. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy Yandell of Lake Charles and Christopher Yandell and wife, Robin of Baton Rouge, LA; mother, Lena Marcantel of Sulphur; brother, Roy "Bo" Marcantel Jr. and wife, Sandi of Sulphur; sister, Barbara Jean Clark and husband, Ray of Sugarland, TX; three grandchildren, Abigail, Nathan and Connor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy Ray Yandell.
The memorial service will be 11am, Monday, July 29, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Pastor Luke Liechty will officiate. Visitation will begin Monday at 10am. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude's Hospital.
