Hagerstown, IN - Dorothy C. Mahoney, 83, of Hagerstown, died at her home on Sunday, July 21, 2013, following an extended illness.
She was born in Winchester on October 18, 1929, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Hoggatt, and lived most of her life in Hagerstown. Dorothy was a graduate of Richmond High School and Earlham College. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, United Church of Christ.
Survivors include 3 children, Molly Mahoney of Connersville, Robert Mahoney of Hagerstown and Gregory Mahoney of Richmond and a sister, Eleanor Gates of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mahoney in 1996, a son, Jeffrey Mahoney in 2009; a brother, Jimmy Hoggatt and an infant sister.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, in CCC, United Church of Christ. Rev. Ray Armstrong and Pastor Rick Alvey will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
