Jacob W. Graybill, sixty-six, cashier of the Quarryville National Bank, died at his home in Quarryville Friday afternoon of a heart attack. He had been in ill health for about two months but had been at the bank during the morning. Mr. Graybill, who was well-known in civic and community affairs, had been an employee of the Quarryville bank for 42 years. He had been cashier for about 15 years. He was a son of the late Simon and Emma Breneman Graybill and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Quarryville, and of the Slumbering Groundhog Lodge, Quarryville. Besides his wife, Mrs. Edna Carpenter Graybill, he is survived by a daughter, Frances, wife of John J. Groff, Quarryville, three grandchildren; a brother, Ira B. Graybill, Refton; and a sister, Ada L., wife of John Roth, Harrisburg. (Intelligencer Journal - Nov 22, 1947)
