Mary Kathryn Brisbois White was born Dec. 2, 1922 in Eagle Lake, Texas to John and Hattie Brisbois. She moved to Rosenberg in her early teen years and graduated from Rosenberg High School in 1941. Mary then went to work at First National Bank. She married Raymond Reed White in 1942, while he was serving as an officer in the Army Air Corps. After the war, she was a farmer's wife and stay at home mom. In later years, she worked as a secretary at both Lamar and George Jr. High Schools. After leaving the school system, she worked part-time at BeMar Book Mart.

Mary was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Richmond and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She was a member of two bridge clubs and a ladies gin club. She volunteered at church, the Fort Bend Museum, Helping Hands and in the gift shop at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. Mary passed away July 25, 2013 in Missouri City, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Reed White; brother, John "Buster" Brisbois; sisters, Mildred Land, Hazel Broussard, Alice Mae Adams, and Lucille Brisbois; sisters-in-law, Dorothy White Pennino and Arlene White Davis.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda White Gubbels and her husband, Pat, and Janet White Enax and her husband, Darwin; grandchildren, Lisa Gubbels-Wingo and her husband, Robert, Matt Gubbels and his wife, Pamela, Clint Enax, and Shellie Enax; great grandchildren, Sabrina Gubbels-Wingo, Ryan and Noah Gubbels; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mary's family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to her loving, caregiving family at Autumn Leaves of Riverstone, where she had resided for the past year and a half, and previously, the Greatwood Retirement Community, and also Encompass Home Health and Hospice Plus.

Honorary Pallbearers serving are Ren Davis, Millard Brisbois, Joel Broussard and Tommy Adams Webber.
