SANTA FE - Mr. Alfred Vernon Harryman went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday evening, August 12, 2000, in Galveston.
Born April 11,1925, in Galveston, Mr. Harryman had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1997, previously of Bayou Vista. He had been a truck driver for 30 years, served in the U.S. Navy during World War n, was a member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma and the Galveston Elks Lodge #126.
He was preceded in death by
his wife, Gloria. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Charles Richardson of Des Allemands, Louisiana, and Shirley and Luka Cutura of Pearl River, Louisiana; son: Vernon Bernard Harryman of Clarksville, Arkansas; grandchildren: Stanley Rogillio, Patricia Matherne, Shu-ley L. Cutura, Jesse Rogillio, and Luka Cutura Jr.; great-grandchild: Luka Cutura III; loving companion, Helen Mancuso of Santa Fe; numerous step-children, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Pastor Alan Splawn officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jure Cutura, La Verne Dagestad, Walter Layland, Johnny Lopez, Leon Lundy, Ronnie Pride. Honorary Bearers will be Tim Marrs and Paul McDonald.
