Kate was a daughter of Nathan Bradley and Amanda Taliaferro. She married Lockhart Bibb on 21 Jun 1867 in Marengo County, Alabama; they were the parents of eight children: David, Anna, Eliza, Amanda, John, Lewis, Mary and Lockhart Jr.

MRS. KATE T. BIBB, 84, DIES AT TYNER HOME

Mrs. Kate T. Bibb, 84, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. C. Kirkman, in Tyner yesterday morning. She was the widow of Capt. Lockhart Bibb, who served in the Confederate army under Gen. N. B. Forrest.

Mrs. Bibb spent her early life in Alabama, but had made her home with her daughter for the past eleven years. She was born in Mardego (sic) county, Alabama. in 1850 and was reared on a typical plantation and saw her husband and sons fight in three different wars. Her oldest son fought in the Spanish-American war, her husband in the War Between the States and her other sons in the World war.

She was a member of the Methodist church for seventy-two years, and for the last decade a member of Tyner Methodist church.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. T. F. Roberts, Los Angeles; Mrs. Kirkman and Mrs. L. M. Russell, of Chattanooga; one son, Maj. Lewis B. Bibb, U. S. A., Washington, D. C.; one sister, Miss Elmira Bradley, of Tyner; one brother, Lewis Bradley, of Panama Canal Zone; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Tyner Methodist Episcopal church, south, the pastor. the Rev. O. V. Elkins, officiating, assisted by the Rev. J. A. Maples.

Pallbearers will be, active, James Holbert, Frank Eichbaum, Carl and Walter Cooper, James Shepherd, J. D. Cliett, Jr., Robert Minor and Atwood Butler; honorary, board of stewards of the church as follows: M. H. Hundley, W. R. Brodley, L. S. Roberson, F. W. McAfee, A. H. Alley, J. I. Neighbors, R. E. Holbert, C. C. Burgner, W. T. Robinson, W. P. Selcer, Dr. J. B. Swafford, Dr. O. L. Blackwell, Dr. D. T. Davis, S. H. Johnson, Paul Morris, L. H. Conner and J. D. Cliett.

Honorary pallbearers have been asked to meet at the home.

Interment will be in the historic old Bibb family burying ground at Belle Mina. Ala., at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. under auspices of the Methodist church there.
