Phyllis E. Bullock Bond
Ogden – Our loving Mother, Phyllis Bond, 83, returned to her Heavenly Father, her son Bobby and her Mother Emma on July 23, 2013.
She was born on October 1, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho to Nathan J. and Emma Sofrona Bullock. She was raised in Ogden with her eight lovely sisters, who were her best friends. She attended Ogden City Schools.
On May 22, 1948 she married Vern D. Bond in Roy, Utah. They were sealed April 29, 1965 for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.
Mom dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked at the Weber County Hospital and Manor Care. Together with Dad, she also managed private contracts at Hill Air Force Base and Wright Patterson-Ohio. She later worked at MTR Products with Tom and her dear friend Betty.
Grandma loved being around babies and grandkids. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time in her garden. Mom enjoyed Rock Hounding Trips with her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law. Mom was a BINGO Champion.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Vern; two sons and three daughters, Wayne Bond (Rhea), Glen Bond, Sheryl Stewart (Doug), Lauri Morgan (Sean), Tracie Bond; 20 grandchildren and many great and great-great- grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Betty, Susan and Carol.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby; six sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
