Graveside services for Alta Veva Beatie, 74, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Carus Cemetery with Father Thomas Park officiating.
The Oregon City woman died in a local hospital on Sunday after a long illness.
Formerly an employee of the recorder's office for Clackamas County, she was born in Oregon City on Jan. 10, 1902, and had spent her lifetime in this area. She was a past president of the Elks Auxiliary in Oregon City and past president of Waldo Caufield Auxiliary. She belonged to the Word War I Auxiliary in Molalla and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oregon City.
She is survived by Robert Beatie, her widow; daughters, Barbara Wheeler and Suzanne Nichols, both of Oregon City; a brother, Ralph C. Burke of Springfield; four grandchildren and two great-grand daughters.
The family suggests making memorial contributions to the Oregon Heart Association.
