Billie W. Sorah, 74, of Cambridge City passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Reid Hospital and Health Care Services.
He was born on January 9, 1939 in Lee County, VA to Lester C and Margie Robbins Sorah and had lived most of his life in the area.
He was a 1958 graduate of Straughn High School and was a US Army veteran. He was retired from Dana Corp. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of the Lewisville Lodge #72, 32nd degree mason and member of Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Billie enjoyed playing drums in several local bands. He was past president of Cambridge City Kiwanis and had served on the Wayne County EDC Board.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Betty J. Sorah; a son Steven (Shera) Sorah of Cambridge City; 2 grandsons Presley and Vincent Sorah; 2 sisters Glenita (Don) Dudley and Sheila Ann (Wayne) Fowler; and nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
