Charles E. Boltz, Sr., of 624 Hill St., died at the Good Samaritan Hospital at 2:30 o'clock this morning after having been a patient there for less than a week. Mr. Boltz, however, had been in ill health for some time. Death was attributed to a heart condition. He was 78 years of age and was a native of this city. Mr. Boltz was a cigar maker by trade, and had also been employed as a watchman at the People's National Bank, this city. For fifteen years, he and his wife resided in Philadelphia. One year ago they arrived here and have been residing with their son, Charles E. Boltz, Jr., of 624 Hill St. He was a member of the United Brethren Church. Surviving besides his wife Sally (McKinney) Boltz, are his son Charles E. Boltz, Jr.; two grandsons, one overseas; and one great-grandson. The funeral was held at Frederick S. Frantz Funeral Home, with the Rev. H.E. Miller of Salem United Brethren, of Lebanon, in charge of services. Interment was made at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
