Irene Coleman Gregory, 83, of Martinsville, VA died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Franklin Health and Rehab Center, Rocky Mount, VA. She was born on March 1, 1930 in Patrick County, VA to the late Charlie Jasper Coleman and Alma Hundley Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Nelson Gregory and brother, James Jasper Coleman.
Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Church of Christ, Collinsville, VA and was a retired seamstress from Bassett Walker. Also, she has previously worked for Lacy Manufacturing. She was a volunteer for Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County and Hospice.
Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Gregory LaPrade of Martinsville, VA, Sharon Gregory Deaton of Ferrum, VA and Dianne Gregory Dedmon of Newark, DE; grandsons, Gregory Mason Dedmon and Todd Eric Dedmon and great-grandchild, Zoe Dedmon.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, VA with Minister Paul K. Martin officiating.
