Wife of David Staun Graves; Daughter of Capt. Crispin Dickenson and Christiana Berger Dickenson

Lucy married David Staun Graves, her first cousin, at the age of 13. Her sister, Nilla Luck Dickenson, was also married very
young, age 14, to Col. George Tyree Berger, because their father, Crispin, died leaving Christiana with two young daughters that she could not care for. In both cases, the daughters were married to close cousins. The name Lucy Ann Wade is handed down from Lucy's maternal great grandmother, Lucy Ann Wade, who married Bryan Ward Nowlin.
