Mary L. Gallo, 69, of 5060 Nittany Valley Drive Lamar, died Friday June 7, 2013 in the Susque-View Home and Health Center.
Born April 22, 1944 in Belair, Md., she was a daughter of Rev. Elmer C. Clouser Sr. and the former Alda Isabel Famous.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Gallo Sr., on Nov. 14, 2011. They were united in marriage on Feb. 23, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard L. Gallo Jr.; a great-grandaughter, Alexis Askins; and four sisters, Helen Stella Billingsley, Ella May Clouser, Barbara Ann Shaffer and Karen Denise Shingler.
She was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving are three sons, Carson F. (Barb) Askins Sr. of Mill Hall, Robert C. (Kathy) Askins of Lamar and Shannon N. (Carrie) Askins of Lock Haven; three daughters, Donna R. (Scott) Nelson of Jersey Shore, Judy A. Shoop of Fayetteville, Ark. and Melanie S. Romig of Avis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer (Bud) Clouser Jr. of Delaware and Charles (Chuck) Clouser of Ohio; and two sisters, Marie Myrtle Olewiler of York and Myrtle Marie Almony of Maryland.
Memorial services will be Wednesday evening June 12, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 6 p.m. Wednesday until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woolrich Cemetery. Rev. David McCoy will officiate.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in her name to the Susque-View Home and Health Center, 22 Cree Drive, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745.
