She was a native of Madison County and had lived in Buncombe County since 1946. A former member of Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville.
Annie was survived by a daughter, Pauline D. Rice of Sunset, SC; two sons, Otto Debruhl and Hilliard Debruhl, both of Asheville; a brother, Amos Capps; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: Thursday, September 9, 1993, Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church.
Burial: Church Cemetery.
