Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Acie Lee Griffin, age 80, of Holly Springs Road, Gillsville. Dr. B. Ted Poole and the Reverend Marshall Dale will officiate. Burial will be in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Griffin died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Griffin was born in Hall County on Sept. 3, 1922, to the late William and Naomi Buffington Griffin. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. Mr. Griffin was of the Methodist faith.
