ALBERT BREITHAUPT SUCCUMBS TO TUBERCULOSIS AT EDINA, MO.

Albert Breithaupt, a well known man who was born and reared in Quincy, but who had of late years been living at Edina, Mo., died in the latter city Wednesday afternoon. The first news of his death received here was conveyed in a telegram yesterday to George Marlotte, a member of the city fire department, who was a cousin of Mr. Breithaupt.

The deceased had been suffering from tuberculosis for over a year and had a bad hemorrhage of the lungs several months ago. Although no particulars of the death were contained in the dispatch, relatives here believe his death was caused by pulmonary consumption. The funeral took place this morning at Edina.

Mr. Breithaupt was particularly widely acquainted on the South Side, where his parents resided for a number of years. He was thirty-three years of age and a baker by trade, Owing to poor health he had been incapacitated from work for some months.

There are surviving him besides his wife and family, his widowed mother, Mrs. Susan Breithaupt, one sister, Mrs. Emma Stratmeyer, and one brother William. Mrs. Breithaupt and Mrs. Stratmeyer are now residents of St. Louis and William Breithaupt is located somewhere in Texas.

Obituary.

Albert Francis Breithaupt, departed this life, March 7, 1906, aged 34 years. The deceased had been complaining for some time but he did not give up, or quit his work at his trade until the middle of October. He was confined to the house for only a short time. He did not realize his physical condition and died within a few minutes. He passed from this earth as easily, and with as few struggles as any mortal man. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, a baby daughter near two years old, a sister, Mrs. Emma Strathmeyer, and a mother, who resides in St. Louis, and a brother in Huston, Texas. Both his mother and brother were too sick to attend his funeral. His sister attended. May his soul rest in peace is the prayer of all his friends.

Funeral services after high mass at St. Joseph's church Friday at 10 o'clock. His mortal remains were interred in St. Joseph's cemetery.
