PEORIA — Susan E. Nelson-Vujanov, 59, of Peoria, formerly of Tiskilwa, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at her home in Peoria after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on Sept. 21, 1950, in Sheffield, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Genster) Nelson. She married Garry Vujanov Dec. 20, 1975. They later divorced.
Susan worked for Strunk Brothers Construction in Princeton for 16 years and more recently at P.A.R.C. in the accounting department.
Survivors include her children, Nicholas (Gina) Vujanov of Princeton and Sarah Vujanov of Peoria; three grandchildren, Natalie, Anthony, and Isaiah, all at home; and two brothers, Tom (Wanda) Nelson of Princeton and James Nelson of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be private and at a later date.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Norberg Memorial Home.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
