A daughter of the late Robert and Mary Jane Johnson Rogers, of the Whites Bend community of Jackson County. She was born February 1, 1878.
On February 12, 1912 she was married to John W. Lee who preceded her in death November 17, 1923.
Mrs. Lee had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church since early girlhood. She taught school for a few years in the Jackson County schools. For several years she had resided in the Wooddow community.
Survivors are 2 children: Mrs. Doyne Anderson, Gainesboro, and Robert Lee, Detroit, Mich.; 2 grandchildren, Patsy Ellen and Billy Earl Anderson; 5 step-children, Mrs. Lillian Roddy, of Gainesboro, A.H. Lee and Millard Lee, Cookeville, Arthur Lee, Avanelle, Calif., and W. Birdwell Lee, Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Page, Difficult, 2 brothers, Leslie Rogers, Goodlettsville, and S.C. Rogers, Seneca, Missouri. Besides these several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning July 7 at 10:00 a.m. from the Methodist Church in Gainesboro by the pastor, Rev. E.M. Tramel, assisted by Rev. W.M. Dycus, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery with Draper and Naff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
