Raymond Ray Barnhouse, 75, died Thursday at Wake Medical Center. Born in Parkersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Hunter and Gerry Farnsworth Barnhouse. Serving in both Korea and Vietnam, Mr. Barnhouse retired after 22 years with the US Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant. He was a life member of the 10225 VFW, past president of the Garner Lions Club, a volunteer with the Garner Area Ministries, a member of First Baptist Church of Garner, the Gold Band Sunday School Class and the Fun and Fellowship Group. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Garner. Burial with military honors will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Surviving are: his wife, Mary Ann Morgan Barnhouse; daughter, Mary Louise Barnhouse Rudisill and husband, David of Garner; son, Kenneth Ray Barnhouse of Raleigh; grandchildren, Elizabeth Barnhouse, Gina Barnhouse, Caleb Norton, Caitlyn and Hannah Rudisill; sisters, Nancy B. Bond, Sarah E. Bond, Barbara Barnhouse, all of Ohio, Donna Jean Vion of West Virginia; brothers, Charles R. Barnhouse and William F. Barnhouse, both of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ralph and brothers, Walter, John, Donald and James Barnhouse.
