She passed away at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Lakewood Quarters Nursing Home. A native of West Monroe, she was born Lina Frances Funderburk on Nov. 16, 1912. She was a homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam D. and Lenora Funderburk; first husband, Prentiss DeRossett; second husband, Wallace Balliet; a daughter, Deanna DeRossett Hunter; three brothers, Robert, Sam and Garrett Funderburk; a sister, Glady Mae Poulan. She is survived by a son and his wife, David and Roberta DeRossett, Baton Rouge; a son and his wife, the Rev. Alan and Betty Sue Balliet, Jackson, Miss.; six grandchildren and spouses, Robin and Bobby Raiford, Baton Rouge, John DeRossett, Warner Robins, Ga., Susan and Carl Hicks and Robert and Gina DeRossett, all of McKinney, Texas, Scott and Amy Balliet and Lisa and Marc King, all of Jackson, Miss.; 10 great- grandchildren, Christopher DeRossett, Jordan, Justin and Jana Hicks, Cory, Kyle and Caitlin DeRossett, Ivy King, Allison and Shelby Balliet; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Mitchell and Edna Bea Funderburk, Start; a sister, Louise Lester, Minden; and a sister and her husband, Florine and Duke Irwin, Pine Bluff, Ark. Visitation will be at Hollabaugh- Spindle Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. A service of triumphant homegoing will be at First Baptist Church, 5th Street at Convention Street, at 11 a.m. Saturday, preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. Dr. Burn Page, pastor, will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Scott Balliet, Christopher DeRossett, John DeRossett, Robert DeRossett, Carl Hicks and Bobby Raiford. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Adult III Men's Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to St. Joseph's Hospice of Baton Rouge or Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Monroe
