Mrs. Edith C. Beedy, 79, 711 N. State St., wife of John W. Beedy, died Friday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, but spent most of her life in this community. Mrs. Beedy attended the Pentecostal Church.
Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Nina Williams, Mrs. Grace Patterson, Mrs. Ruth Brashear, Mrs. Judy Skillman, all of Muncie; five sons, Clyde Robertson, Charles Robertson, Donald Lindley, all of Muncie, William Robertson and Robert Beedy, both of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Mrs. Clara Bright, Losantville; a brother, Austin Wheeler, Chicago; thirty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary 3 p.m. Sunday. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery Sunday. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 until 5 and from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday, and any time before the services Sunday.
