Obituary:

East Pembroke, Nov. 16, Mrs. Harriett Ann Preston, wife of William Preston, died at her home in this village at 2:40 o'clock Saturday afternoon, following seven months illness with heart disease and complications. She had been confined to her room for the past four months.

Mrs. Preston was born in Caledonia August 6, 1866, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Webb. She was married to Mr. Preston February 19, 1889, and they lived in Caledonia until 1921, when they moved to Batavia, residing there three years, when they came to East Pembroke. She was a member of the East Pembroke Presbyterian Church and the Grange.

Mrs. Preston leaves, besides her husband, two sons, Clarence Preston of North Carolina and Milton Preston of Caledonia; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Grace) Davis of Leroy and Mrs. Blanche Shepard at home; eight grandchildren; a sister Mrs. John B. Wilson of Alberta, Canada; two brothers, William Webb of Scottsville and John Webb of Geneseo and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Preston will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late home, the Rev. Samuel Eaton, D. D., pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery.
