Mrs Jane Edith Smith Anderson, 85, of 5-D Hapton House Apartments, widow of Lucius Carl Anderson, died June 18, 1986, at Self Memorial Hospital.
Born in Comer, Ga, March 16, 1901, she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Sarah Lucinda Smith Smith. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Frank R (Frances Street and Mrs Peter S (Betty) Zouras, both of Greenwood, Mrs W A (Martha) Nickles Jr of Hodges and Mrs Juanita A Hollingsworth of Greenville; a son retired Col James C "Jack" Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz; and two sisters, Mrs G L (Erma) Jackson and Miss Arlene Smith, both of Greenwood; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 am Thursday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev Robert Piephoff officiating.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home.
